Are you ready for some high-octane drifting action? We dive into the world of drift cars with the ideal beginner’s machine, the Nissan S13 180SX.

This modified Nissan has been built for one purpose: to go sideways with style! This imported S13 180SX has a fascinating history. Originally owned by the Steve Fraser’s brother, this car has been in hisfamily for about 15 years. After sitting idle for several years, it was time to bring this beast back to life. So, Steve decided to take on the challenge of rebuilding and modifying it for drifting!.

Bold Branding and Attention-Grabbing Style

One look at this Nissan S13 drift car, and you won’t be able to miss the Dragon Energy branding splashed across its bright purple bodywork. Steve has partnered with Dragon Energy for this project, basing the whole drift theme around their sponsorship. With other brand logos strategically placed on the car, it’s a rolling advertisement for all the quality brands involved.

Suspension, Brakes, and Engine Power

When it comes to performance modifications, the Nissan S13 180SX does not disappoint. It features three-piece Rotiform LVS wheels that have stood the test of time, even after a decade of use. The suspension has been upgraded with brand new BC Racing coilovers, providing excellent adjustability for both the front and rear. Additionally, 60° GKTech drop knuckles and other adjustable components ensure precise control on the track.

Under the bonnet lies a fully forged SR20 engine, delivering a satisfying 430 horsepower. With a hybrid turbo and a weight of less than a ton, this car packs a punch. The engine modifications, along with the stock GKTech hydro handbrake, make for an exhilarating drifting experience.

The Interior: A Space for Control and Comfort

Stepping inside the 180SX, you’ll notice the focus on control and comfort. Steve has installed a Haltech dash and a Wiring Specialties harness, giving him full control over various aspects of the car. The dash has been retrimmed in Alcantara, adding a touch of luxury to the racing-inspired interior. Cobra seats, featuring carbon backs and stylish design elements, provide both support and style.
