We met up with detailing gurus GTECHNIQ to go through its ceramic sealants application process and how it can protect your car.
Ceramic is the buzz word of the detailing industry at the moment, every car care company across the world is releasing their version of a protective products with the word ceramic somewhere in the name. GTECHNIQ are the OGs of ceramic coatings and while their industry leading Crystal Serum Ultra gets all the headlines, they also have easy-to-apply consumer ceramic sealants that harness the tech from those flagship coatings to give your vehicle added protection from the elements.
Easy Coat
Easy Coat by name and easy coat by nature. It does exactly what it says on the tin (or should we say bottle), applies a protective coat easily. After a decontamination wash you simply connect your hose to the supplied dispenser, turn the tap on, rinse your car down with water and then turn the dispensing nozzle (black nozzle) to apply the formula, you then flick the dispensing nozzle back and rinse everything off. Your vehicle is now protected from UV rays, wash chemicals and weathering while also having incredibly strong dirt repelling properties, that will last for up to 3-months. One 500ml bottle contains enough product to coat two medium-sized cars and can be applied to any painted or glass surface.
C2 Ceramic Sealant
Here’s a product that needs no introduction. If you want to give your car ultimate protection with minimal effort, this is the stuff you want in your kit bag. C2 Ceramic Sealant can be applied to a clean wet or dry car, in fact, if you apply it to a wet car, you’re saving yourself a step as you’ll be drying it at the same time – instant effective protection!
One application of C2 will give you up to 6-months of protection and the extremely hydrophobic properties will repel dirt and grime with ease, especially handy at this time of year.
Quick Detailer
Okay, so this isn’t a ceramic sealant, but it works in harmony with Easy Coat and C2 as a spray-on buff off maintenance product that can be used to wipe away fingerprints, watermarks and light dust quickly and easily from your car’s plastics, bodywork or wheels. It can also be layered to boost gloss, slickness and durability to any previously applied coatings.
