Nowadays ‘round bolts’ come as standard on all new Mercs and, according to ze Germans, they’re designed to distribute torque more evenly and prevent slipping over the more usual hex-type jobs.
Of course there’s also the added bonus that they look just like locking wheel bolts and that can help act as a deterrent to thieving scum.
