What we like most about this fully-welded coolant tank for the FK8 Civic Type-R isn’t so much that it’s clever. Chiefly because it incorporates an internal baffle to keep coolant near the overflow port when absolutely gunning it… not that there’s another way to drive the Type R of course.
It’s not the fact that includes an uprated 1.3-bar filler cap and has a proper sight glass for level-checking either.
Nope, it’s more that this one looks so damn hardcore in both the Rallye Red or micro-wrinkle black finishes, it’s hard not to start banging on about how performance isn’t about polishing and that form should always follow function.
Besides, on some absolute screamers, you just don’t need all that shiny stuff, right? No messing about.
