Milltek has announced an exciting new technical innovation within its exhaust range – the option of Cerakote ‘Black Velvet’ coating on its GT 100 exhaust trims.
Derived from armourment technology, Cerakote is the ideal finish on Milltek’s increasingly popular black trims. Vastly superior to all paint and powder coat finishes, Cerakote is a ceramic based technology that offers a far greater resistance to being scratched or impacted, as well as being able to maintain its finish for much longer.
Also, due to its ability to resist deterioration from both chemical and salt attack, it’s also the perfect finish for cars that live in less hospitable climates – like the UK, for example!
Milltek’s shapely GT100 trims have become a staple part of its range, due to the fact they fit so well in so many factory bumper apertures.
Many of the company’s systems now offer this trim as an option, including the Golf R, Audi S6, Focus ST Mk3, Corsa VXR Nurburgring, Juke, Panamera Turbo and Leon Cupra R, as well as many others.
Best of all, despite its clear advantage over all other surface coatings, Milltek have taken the unusual decision to offer it as a no-cost option for all customers. It will also be rolled out as an option to other trims and components within the range throughout 2014.
