Check out this classically-inspired little beauty from Japan Racing. Available from those purveyors of all sorts of weird and wonderful parts for orimental motors, Tarmac Sportz.
These may be derived from the circuits and street racers of everyone’s favourite Pacific superpower but, while the heritage is clear, these are actually available in plenty of useable sizes.
Yep, unlike many of their original JDM cousins, which only seem to come in teeny weenie widths and diameters, the JR7 range can easily sort out anyone looking for subtle, small rims along with those after some real girthy arch-fillers. And for these sort of prices, that’s unusual to say the least.
Still what’s most important here isn’t so much the pedeigree, it’s the masses of inherent style and kudos. This is just one of those rims that transcends mere Japanese motorsport style to something just that bit more special.
This means that, depending on the finish you choose, these will be equally at home on a smooth street car as they are on some sort of bat-shit kanjo racer.
That, my friends, is what we in the business call a real touch of class!
