This week’s Sneak of the Week – Air Jordan 8
One of the world’s most recognised high-tops is back, that’s right people the Air Jordan 8 is here!
Even to this day, 19 years after it’s original release the Jordan 8 is still a marmite sneaker – you simply love it or completely hate it. Either way it’s a trainer that demands big respect.
The AJ8 was the last Air Jordan that MJ donned before his first retirement (he made a comeback), it was also the first ever Jordon to drop the Nike logo, testament to the strength of the Jordan brand.
It was also released during the famous early 90’s ‘Three-Peat’ Championship season. A season that saw Micheal Jordan’s Chicago Bulls secure their third straight successive NBA title, and MJ hit his 20,000th point and 7th straight scoring title in a row. Leg-end!
As per the originals, the AJ8 come in white, grey and varsity red, feature full leather uppers and the famous ‘bunny ear’ straps, so called due to the trainers original adverts featuring Bugs Bunny (see bottom of the page).
