To coincide with Motorsport News’s Ford Special, which is due to hit the shelves next week, the team wants to know what is your favourite Ford race car of all time?
For the purposes of this poll, we included works or semi-works efforts from the firm itself, rather than just Ford-motivated cars. And, even then, narrowing down the shortlist was not the work of a moment, with so many examples of race-winning cars from across the decades no matter the model.
Motorsport News editor Matt James said: “There hasn’t been a period where Ford has not been involved in motorsport in recent generations, and so picking out our 10 favourite Ford race cars is hard. Of course, with cars like the Ford Escort Mk2 and the Ford Focus WRC machines, there are so many iterations of the model that we have had to be quite specific in our choices.
“We hope you take time to consider those that we have put in front of you and help us select your favourite Ford race car of all time from the list.”
