Camping At Whittlebury Park

If you’re camping at Whittlebury Park the night before Japfest, you’ll be pleased to hear that it couldn’t be easier to walk over to the show in the morning and avoid all the show traffic entering Silverstone. Below is a map that will guide you on your short walk from the campsite to Silverstone circuit. You’ll also find a list of camping FAQs for you to familiarise yourself with ahead of your stay.

Whittlebury Park Camping FAQs

How close are you to the circuit?

Whittlebury Park has a private walkway through to the circuit perimeter road, the closest gate is gate 6 on the Copse corner.  Depending on where you are camped within the grounds, the walk will take no longer than 10 minutes. 

When can I arrive?

Your ticket allows entry from 9am on your booked arrival day, check in closes at 11pm each day.  If you arrive and there is no one at the desk, you should please call the marshal on 07934 441207.

Can I visit friends staying on the campsite if I am not camping?

No, only those booked to stay at Whittlebury Park are permitted access to the campsite.

Can I bring a generator?

Yes, but these must be turned off between 11pm & 8am.

Can I bring my pet to the campsite?

Pets are not permitted unless they are a registered assistance dog, please make us aware in advance if you will be bringing your assistance dog.

What do I need to bring if I have booked an electric plot?

You will need to bring your own cable with a 16amp connector, as you may be located a short distance away from the hook up point we recommend a cable around 20 metres in length as a minimum.

Will there be security on site?

There will be security during the weekend as well as campsite marshals on hand to assist you with any queries you may have.

Are there toilets & showers?

We have some permanent facilities as well as some temporary showers and toilets for larger events.  These are all free of charge to guests staying on the campsite.

Can I park next to my tent/caravan?

Yes, vehicles should be parked on your plot next to your tent/caravan.  Please note only one vehicle permitted per plot.

Can I come and go from the campsite during my stay?

Due to a high volume of traffic in the area and significant road works, we suggest you arrive with everything you need for your stay and only leave when you intend to go home. 

Unless you are showing your car, please leave it at the campsite and walk to the circuit.  Parking at the circuit is limited and full.

Can I bring a BBQ?

BBQ’s are permitted as long as they are raised off of the ground.  Please ensure your BBQ remains are fully doused with water and cold before disposing of them in the skips provided.  During extreme dry conditions BBQ’s may be banned, please check with the campsite team before/on arrival.

Can I have a campfire?

Campfires are not permitted.

Can I play music?

Music can be played at a sensible level, as long as it is not causing a hinderance to others until 11pm.

Can I bring my own food and drink onto site?

Guests are welcome to bring their own provisions.

What food and drink options are on site?

There will be catering/bar available including a street food diner takeaway located on the campsite as well as the bars/restaurants in the main hotel and golf club buildings.

How do I get to Whittlebury Park?

The postcode for the site is NN12 8QH, what3words for check in is “///dealings.overheat.weaned” please follow signage for Whittlebury Park/Hall

There are two train stations located nearby, these are Milton Keynes and Northampton.  Unfortunately there are no bus services running into Whittlebury village so a taxi would be required from either of these train stations.
