After a year off the scene, Trax 2024 proves once again why it’s the pinnacle of UK performance car events. This year’s event brought enthusiasts from all corners of the automotive world together for an unforgettable celebration of speed, style, and car culture.

Trax  2024 made a thunderous return on September 1st, reaffirming its status as the UK’s premier performance car event. With over 3,000 cars on display, heart-pounding drift demos, thrilling non-stop track action, and a bustling retail village, this year’s event offered something for every car enthusiast. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie, a DIY mechanic, or just a fan of automotive beauty, Trax 2024 was the place to be.

Drift Kings

What’s Trax without the ear-piercing screech and smoke-filled excitement of drifting? The Drift Kings feature was a show-stopper, with Britain’s elite drifters taking on Silverstone’s challenging complex section. From Wellington Straight to Woodcote, the action was heart-pounding and relentless. The best vantage points were undoubtedly the grandstands—if you weren’t there, you missed out on a sensory overload!

Club Displays & Awards

Car clubs are the beating heart of Trax, and this year saw an unprecedented 3,000 cars on display! The sheer variety was mind-blowing—from immaculate show cars to out-and-out race cars, from classics to the very latest models, and everything else in between! modern marvels.

New for 2024, the club displays were arrange by themed zones too. Clubs were grouped with like-minded enthusiasts creating mini-shows within the main event. This embraced the tribal nature within the modified car scene and created distinct areas for Japanese cars, German cars, Fords, and Vauxhalls grouped together by brand. The Ford zone was headed by specialist tuners Laird Performance too. Add to that the new Supercar Zone showcasing beasts like Buzz’s 2500bhp Twin Turbo Huracan and Rocky’s gold-turboed Performante, it was eye-candy galore!

To celebrate the diversity of models but the shared passion of the clubs, Trax offers several coveted awards. This year competition was fierce, but the winners are:

Street Elite was where competition met craftsmanship and dedication. Hand-picked via an online application process, these cars were among some of the most talked about at the entire show. Judges had the difficult task of selecting the top three on show day, but in the end, only one car took home the trophy—and bragging rights!

Public Track Time

Ever dreamt of burning rubber on the iconic Silverstone track? Public track time sessions gave attendees that golden opportunity. Sessions were short yet sweet at just 20 minutes each, letting drivers get their kicks without putting too much stress on their cars. These 20 minute sessions provide the perfect taster to track action, and offer an affordable way to sample the thrills of high-speed driving on one of the most famous circuits in the world.

Those not behind the wheel could still feel the rush by watching from strategic grandstands or joining as passengers.

Of course, we were there too. Our stand was a treasure trove of past features and sneak peeks at upcoming exclusives too. It was a gathering point for fans and a hub of all things automotive excellence, plus the perfect place to grab some branded merch!

Drift Taxis

New for 2024 and absolutely smashing its debut were the Drift Taxis! Fans got a front-row seat to the world of drifting from within the cockpit. Slots were availble to pre-book or purchase on the day, giving many their first taste of high-octane sideways and smoke-filled action guided by seasoned professionals.

Retail Village

Need a break from the adrenaline rush? The Retail Village was a haven for gearheads. Browsing through booths featuring exhausts, turbos, blow-off valves, tyres, tools, and more was like being a kid in a candy store. Deals were aplenty, making it a perfect spot to snag that elusive part or just gather some inspiration for future projects.
