Has your car’s hue made the top 10 most popular new car colours?
White maintained its position as the UK’s most popular new car colour for the fourth year in a row in 2016, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
More than half a million new car buyers chose the colour last year – a fifth of all registrations – although figures show its popularity is starting to fade with demand falling for the first time since 2005.
Here’s the top 10 colours and how many they sold:
1. White – 552,329 cars sold
2. Black – 542,862 cars sold
3. Grey – 465,579 cars sold
4. Blue – 414,160 cars sold
5. Red – 303,789 cars sold
6. Silver – 273,220 cars sold
7. Green – 27,740 cars sold
8. Orange – 17,429 cars sold
9. Brown – 15,255 cars sold
10. Yellow – 12,431 cars sold
