We head to the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit, where epic German engineering meets trackside thrills and showground style. Let’s take a look at the best bits from German Car Festival 2024…

If you missed the German Car Festival 2024 at Goodwood Motor Circuit on October 5th, you missed an absolute stunner! The very best modified and performance German cars packed the iconic motorsport venue to the brim. From pristine classics to modern powerhouses, this year’s festival brought a jaw-dropping collection of cars and a full day of unforgettable action.

eBay Garage and Live Action Thrills

As headline partners, eBay brought their immersive eBay Garage experience, which was a hit with attendees. Visitors enjoyed interactive games, won exclusive eBay merchandise, and explored the impressive features and products that eBay has to offer throughout the day.

But the real showstopper? The Live Action events sponsored by eBay. We were treated to not one, but two thrilling drift demonstrations, where some of the UK’s fastest and most fearless drifters tore up the Goodwood circuit, leaving clouds of smoke and awe-struck spectators in their wake. These finely tuned German machines powered through the track with such precision and force, you couldn’t help but be glued to the action.

And the drifting wasn’t the only live action on the day. The all-day track sessions – sponsored by tuning specialists RacingLine – allowed show-goers the chance to take their own cars out for a spin on Goodwood’s historic tarmac. It was pure adrenaline from start to finish.

A Showcase of German Car Culture

One of the most incredible aspects of the festival was the sheer variety of German performance cars on display. From BMW M3s to Audi RSs, Golf Rs, and Mercedes AMGs, we saw it all.

The club displays were at the heart of the festival. Countless clubs showcased their finest rides, with some real gems to be found in the Special Display, and of course, on the Fast Car displays too!

A huge congratulations to the winners and all the clubs that participated—your contributions are what make this event so special!

Top 10 Rosettes

As if the club displays weren’t impressive enough, the Top 10 Rosettes gave us the chance to celebrate some of the absolute best builds found on the Special Display. Our editorial teams had their work cut out choosing the most unique and immaculately presented cars from a sea of stunning contenders.

Whether it was a rare model, outstanding craftsmanship, or original modifications, these top 10 cars stood out from the crowd and were awarded rosettes to commemorate their efforts. Owners were also treated to a cool goodie bag packed with quality service additives and branded merch from Liqui Moly too. Congratulations to these brilliant builds – your hard work and dedication to your rides did not go unnoticed!

Special Display

Not everyone at the festival rolled in with a club, but that didn’t stop them from showing off their stunning rides in the Special Display area. Independent enthusiasts brought out an impressive array of Audis, Mercs, VWs, and BMWs, and the Special Display proved to be one of the most diverse sections of the entire event. The cars that filled this space easily rivalled the club displays, showcasing some of the most attention-grabbing, finely tuned German machines at the festival.

Retail Village

Of course, no Fast Car event would be complete without a killer Retail Village, and this year’s did not disappoint. It was quality over quantity at Goodwood, with a choice selection of high-end retailers and specialists offering everything from performance upgrades to rare styling accessories. It was a treasure trove for anyone looking to level up their ride. We caught up with partners such as RacingLine and RamAir, who were there offering expert advice and top-notch products to keep our beloved German cars in peak condition.

Meguiar’s Street Elite

And then there was the Street Elite, where some of the most immaculate builds at the show came head-to-head. Sponsored by Meguiar’s UK, this competition brought out the best of the best, with one car eventually taking home the coveted Street Elite Winner title and securing those all-important bragging rights.

Winner: BMW E36 Touring
Runners up: Porsche 944 & BMW 8 Series

Simulators, Photography, and More

For those of us not brave enough (or ready) for the track, the Racing Simulators sponsored by Tillet Racing Seats, offered a chance to experience the thrill of Goodwood in a virtual world. The state-of-the-art sims delivered an insanely realistic racing experience that had everyone buzzing with excitement. Savvy drivers took advantage of the sims in the morning to learn the best lines before heading out on track for themselves in the afternoon track sessions. The fastest times of the day received a prizes.

As always, the Photography UK team was on hand, capturing every car as it entered the show, ensuring nobody went home without a killer shot of their pride and joy. Stunning action shots were available for those who hit the track. Fans purcahsed these on the day, but don’t worry if you missed out – you can order direct form the Photography UK website too.

An Epic Day for German Car Enthusiasts

In the end, German Car Festival 2024 delivered everything we hoped for and more. Whether you came for the show-stopping cars, the heart-racing drift demos, or the chance to get your car on Goodwood’s famous track, it was a day full of unforgettable moments.

See you in 2025!
