The UK’s Top Tuned Cars have been revealed. Come and see the 2023 Autosport International display winners at the Birmingham NEC!

Voting has closed for the UK’s Top Tuned Car, and the three winners are now ready to be revealed!

The Performance and Tuning Car Show wanted to celebrate the world of customisation this year. So, they recruited our help to hunt down to hunt down the most impressive modified cars in the UK – and you’ve helped us pick the winners!

In October, owners of many tuned cars from across the country applied to get their car featured at Europe’s largest motorsport event, Autosport International. Applications included a range of cars from different decades. We saw Mk1 Ford Cortinas and Volkswagen Golfs. A Toyota Chaser JZX100 and, of course, multiple Skylines. Modern-day machines were represented in force too, including the likes of the Ford Focus RS, Audi RS3 and BMW X4M Competition.

Eventually though, our panel of editorial judges managed to whittle it down to ten, and from there, the rest was up to the public!

In addition to the winners having the opportunity to have their modified cars put on display at the January show, Fast Car will also run a feature documenting each of them individually. On top of that, the lucky winners will receive a yearly subscription to their chosen magazine title and professional photography of their vehicle.

So, without further ado, let’s get down to business. Here are your top three Autosport international display winners…

The Winners

This Escort is one of the Autosport International display winners - UK's top tuned car.

Ford Escort Mexico Mk2 by Andy Devine (@the_mexorcist)

Andy has put a lot of time into making his Ford Escort Mexico Mk2 one-of-a-kind. The list of modifications includes a performance exhaust system; full twin charge cooler system from a BMW M5; multiple engine mods generating 550+ bhp; as well as a host of visual changes. And that’s only a few highlights from the very long list! We recently documented this build over on our YouTube channel, so check it out here.

This Focus ST Mk4 is one of the Autosport International display winners.

Ford Focus ST Mk4 by Sam Wells (@s.wells99)

Sam decided to take the Ford Focus ST Mk4 and turn it into a unique white-coloured beast. With multiple engine modifications; AIRTEC intercooler; KMS thunderstorm exhaust; Pumaspeed short shifter; as well as some tasteful cosmetic customisations, this motor became a social media sensation.

Come and see this wild Astra at the UK's top tuned car stand.

Vauxhall Astra VXR Mk5 by Simon Kelly (@skellyvxr)

Like any sane person, Simon decided to turn his Vauxhall Astra VXR into a raw, race-ready track car – and we love the end result! He’s modified this Astra in many ways, including a full Opel Motorsport-inspired wrap; rear spoiler; side exit exhaust; air suspension, and a fully stripped interior complete with roll cage. The engine’s received some attention too, and it now outputs a whopping 400 bhp.
