Got a Wrangler or a Gladiator? Modify its ride height with this new factory-approved 2-inch Jeep lift kit, featuring Bilstein shocks.
Whether you truly love off-roading in your Jeep, or if you just like to look as though you do (no judgement!), you can now achieve a more rugged stance thanks to this new Mopar-designed upgrade kit.
This lift kit now offered by Jeep Performance Parts will raise your Wrangler/Gladiator by two inches, thanks to a whole host of off-road-focused goodies. Inside the delivery crate, you’ll find four springs and four Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs, for each corner of the car (obviously). The package also includes front lower control arms, front and rear stabilizer links, front and rear bump stops, and assorted fasteners.
Bilstein Shocks
Bilstein is one of the leading brands in automotive suspension worldwide. For this application, they’ve supplied Jeep with 46mm monotube shocks, accompanied by remote fluid reservoirs. As well as providing greater ground clearance and allowing you to fit larger wheels and tires, Jeep promises that the shock absorbers are “fade-free”, giving you a consistent ride no matter what terrain you throw at them. Speaking of different terrains, Bilstein has incorporated self-adjusting deflective-disc valves into the design, which essentially means that as the ground underneath the wheels changes, the feedback to the driver should remain predictable and controllable.
As for those remote reservoirs, well they allow for enhanced levels of heat dissipation. They’re pretty tough too. A 360-degree rotation of the flex hose is possible thanks to the inclusion of a swivel banjo fitting, and while that might sound like indecipherable tech-speak, all you need to know in practice is that these external reservoirs are built to last.
A word from the big wigs
“Our Jeep Performance Parts team at Mopar is always looking for innovative ways to improve performance for off-road enthusiasts,” said Mike Koval, head of Mopar North America. “With more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories across the Jeep lineup, our customers win with new options to upgrade and personalize their vehicles.”
Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, follows up on that, saying, “We can’t wait for our Jeep off-road community to experience the new Jeep Performance Parts lift kit with Bilstein shocks on Wrangler and Gladiator this summer,”
“There is nothing quite like legendary Jeep 4×4 capability for enthusiasts who want to tackle the toughest terrains.”
Well, what a very long way of saying… not very much. What you really need to know is this: if you want one of these 2-inch Jeep lift kits, it’ll cost you $2095. As for compatibility, the kit is designed to fit 2018+ (JL) Wranglers – can be the two-door or the four-door – and the 2020+ Gladiator (JT).
Happy overlanding!
