The 3M Wrap Tour ended on a high, as it finished up at the UK’s biggest performance car show, TRAX.
For five days, from 3 to 7 October, 14 of 3M’s AVWs toured the UK in vehicles wrapped specially for the occasion, to highlight the best that modern vehicle wrapping has to offer.
On the final day of the event-filled, 665-mile trip, nine of the vehicles joined us on the Fast Car magazine stand at TRAX Silverstone, held at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.
TRAX show goers voted for their favourite of the vehicles, which included everything from sports cars and vans to a classic roadster, all wrapped using the latest 3M products.
The winner was Ben Hamblin, owner of Wrap Kings in Cradley Heath, West Midlands. He was presented with a trophy and crowned the 3M Wrap Tour Champion 2018 for his car’s wrap, which used products from the IJ180mC series of print wrap films by 3M. Ben’s van was also voted in at third place.
Pen Webley, marketing manager for 3M’s Commercial Solutions division, said: “TRAX Silverstone was the perfect way to end what has been an amazing five days. Visitors were stunned to see what leading vehicle wrappers can achieve using 3M’s innovative product range.”
The tour began at 3M’s UK headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire. Stops included Baltic Square, in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, where the fleet formed a public exhibition, and Santa Pod Raceway, in Wellingborough, Northampton, where it went on show during the National Drag Racing Championship Finals.

“Everyone seems to have had a great time and their vehicles have been getting a lot of attention. Now the AVWs can all enjoy some well-earned rest.”
