All in all, it has been a wheely good month. Sorry, not sorry…
Well it’s officially cold season and it’s pissing down outside. And while I can’t do anything about the change of seasons I can do something about protecting my gorgeous split rims and that’s take them off and hide them away until the sun returns next spring.
But what will be their temporary replacement? Well, followers of the build will remember my trusty set of 3SDM 0.04s that have been hibernating in the garage since the forged wheels arrived.
I didn’t want to slap them back under the arches until they had a bit of a refresh though. So I sent them off to my local sprayer and got him to cover the discs in a fresh coat of gloss black, to key in with the rest of the details on the car. And as you can see they are back and looking better than ever!
It was just a simple case of refitting them, and as Midge was helping me move house and the fact he can’t help but get involved when modified cars are around, he kindly gave me a hand.
I’d forgotten how low the car sits on the 19s, as they tuck beautifully under the arches and the new colour scheme looks pretty naughty too. Come at me winter, I’m ready for you!
