As months go, this one didn’t start too well and the same goes for my car, literally. Yep, you guessed it I got a flat battery. And do you know how much a battery for an A6 diesel costs from a certain well-known automotive parts retailer? Well I’m going to tell you, one hundred and thirty fecking pounds – that’s how much!
A flat battery yesterday…
So I thought I’d best have a look online before selling a kidney. And guess what? I found the same spec battery on the Battery Megastore website for nearly fifty sheets less! Also, as I rung up early they got it out to me by the next day. So hats off to www.batterymegastore. co.uk, as they saved me another day stuck on the train with smelly commuters.
My next job was a small but satisfying one, changing my number plates over to the lovely pressed metal ones I recently ordered from DubMeister. I always find it surprising how many people run their crusty old plates, even when they’ve spent a fortune on their car’s looks. Well don’t do it, get some sexy new pressed ones from DubMeister, as it’s amazing the difference they make to your motor .
My final purchase of the month was some new metal BBS centre cap stickers from eBay. If you remember I had my BBS wheels refurbed a few months back, however the centres were pretty knackered so I’d been running the wheels without centres. Well that’s no more, at last my wheels look complete. Happy days.
