It’s been a while since we hit the North East of Scotland, but we sure did get our timing right this time we tell you.
Aberdeen has been one of the hottest places in the UK during March so with guaranteed good weather all weekend it meant a big turnout was on the cards.
Just how big though took everyone by surprise, including the organisers! There wasn’t a space to be had in the whole retail park, even causing Asda to close their doors as the estimated 600-700 cars took over!
What we love about a good meet is the variety it throws up. Rarely do you see the likes of full-blown Sierra Cosworths sitting alongside Saxos or a mighty 600bhp Evo parked up beside a stunning mk2 Escort but it was all here.
Even a Ferrari cruised through followed by a heavy duty Land Rover! Did we mention there was variety?
Everyone had a great night as the tunes played out in a chilled atmosphere with plenty of banter flying around. Amazingly, the police stayed well away too other than a couple of bike cops who popped in for 5 minutes. Result!
Only a few days later Aberdeen was covered in snow so it looks as though the Track & Street Grampian crew planned this to perfection!
A big thanks to Daryl, David and Cameron for the invite and everyone that came along on the night.
Anyway, it’s time for some pictures, so check what you missed and look out for the full feature in Fast Car real soon.
