The biggest name in Ford tuning is back with a new product as the Ford Fiesta ST Mk8 Mountune intercooler brings about a 44% increase in core size with twice the efficiency as the OE cooler.
Say Ford tuning and the word Mountune will almost immediately follow. It’s back with another Ford product and this time its the turn of the Ford Fiesta ST Mk8. Those looking to decrease temperatures while allowing for more power will be pleased to hear that Mountune’s latest product brings about a 44% increase in core volume over the original manufacturer’s part as well as doubling the efficiency in ambient temperatures between 0 and 30 degrees Celsius.
It brings about an ultra-efficient 8-row tube and fin core together with high-flow end tanks to improve the nominal pressure drop seen across the intercooler compared to the OE part. It also features upper and lower air scoops to ensure an increased level of airflow through the core.
Mountune is keen to showcase that its products are data driven, with extensive temperature and pressure testing being carried out within an environmental test laboratory to insure optimum cooling performance and yielding a minimal pressure drop across the core.
