The Manhart MH8 800 has become the fastest BMW M8 Competition in the world, thanks to over 800bhp under the bonnet…
Based on the M8 Competition, which was no slouch out of the factory with 625bhp and a top speed of 190mph, the Manhart MH8 800 produces 823hp and 755ft-lb of torque, dropping the 0-62mph time down to a mind-blowing 2.6 seconds, compared to the 3.2 from factory. Want to know the 100-200kph (62-124mph) time? That’s 5.7 seconds…
So what’s new? Turbos is the biggest contributor, as well as a new intercooler and revised ECU software to make them all work harmoniously. The exhaust gets an upgrade, too, with an OPF replacement pipe (export only), a new stainless-steel exhaust and a decat pipe.
With the dramatic increase in torque, the transmission has also been given some upgrades, although no details have been mentioned. The ride height is dropped 30mm by using KW height-adjustable coil springs, as well as Manhart’s own suspension set-up. You’ll also want to stop with all that power, so there is an option for the factory-standard carbon-ceramic brake system.
Outside, a new front lip and inserts are added to give it a more aggressive look, as well as a rear spoiler lip and diffuser. The wheels are Manhart Concave One measuring 9×21 inch and 10.5×21 inch (front and rear), with 265/30 and 305/25 size tyres respectively.
