McLaren Automotive is adding to its expanding Super Series family with the introduction of the stunning new 710bhp 720S Spider.
The 720S Spider is the second new model under McLaren’s £1.2bn Track25 plan and according to McLaren its most accomplished convertible supercar ever.

The 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged McLaren V8 engine produces 710bhp and 568lb ft of torque.
Acceleration from 0-62mph is same as 720S Coupé at 2.9 seconds and 124mph in 7.9 seconds with a maximum speed of 212mph with the roof up. Want the roof down? Well then you can ‘only’ go 202mph.
The rather clever patented new 720S Spider electric carbon fibre roof system delivers the fastest-operating time in the supercar class and is available glazed with an electrochromic glass panel that can rapidly switch between tinted and transparent.
The 720S Spider active rear spoiler aerodynamics is automatically tuned to closed or open-roof driving.
The light, stiff and extremely strong Monocage II-S carbon fibre core features an integrated rollover protection structure (ROPS to its friends) and therefore needs no additional strengthening over it’s roofed coupe sibling. Clever eh?
The gorgeous new 10-spoke, lightweight forged alloy wheels have been developed especially for the new Spider. Whilst the tyres are super-sticky Pirelli P ZEROs.
