Looking for TRAX 2018 pictures? Well you’re in the right place, we have over 200 TRAX photos from Silverstone right here!
What do you get if you take one of the most famous motorsport venues in the world, add in thousands of jaw-droppingly cool performance cars, invite thousands of petrolheads and sprinkle in hours of live action?
You get TRAX 2018 sponsored by MMR Performance, and the ultimate performance car event didn’t disappoint again as it charged into Silverstone for a feast of automotive fun as thousands of fans descended on the British home of motorsport for the season-closing extravaganza of all things performance.
From show favourites like the fiercely-contested Show and Shine competition sponsored by Auto Finesse to on-track action from the brilliant British Drift Championship team, there wasn’t a quiet moment as TRAX took over.
In a show packed full of highlights, the guys from Fast Car produced possibly their best show display to date with the FastCar400 display – a huge collection of jaw-droppingly cool cars brought together to celebrate Fast Car’s 400thissue.
There was also the addition of the 3M Wrap Tour, showcasing the countries coolest and most unique wrapped cars. Visitors voted for their favourite of the vehicles, which included everything from sports cars and vans to a classic roadster, all wrapped using the latest 3M products. The winner was Wrap Kings for their insane Subaru Impreza.
From Supra’s to Skyline’s, BMW’s to Boxster’s and basically everything in between, the sprawling display proved to be a major hit with show-goers, as did the Performance Co.’s Supercar Paddock.
The paddock was a supercar fan’s dream as Liberty Walk upped the game and brought along some of their best and most creative projects, including a Heffner twin-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo which produces a mind-blowing 1750bhp on high boost and 1250bhp on low boost.
Alongside that was one of the UK’s fastest road legal Nissan GT-R’s, which produces a monstrous 1500bhp and has hopes of becoming the fastest GT-R over a ¼ mile on regular 20 inch road tyres. Basically, it was a haven of awesome builds.
It wouldn’t be TRAX without an array of awards and there were hundreds of clubs vying for a range of accolades but it was Limitless who left with the big one as they put on an awesome display to win the Best Club Stand trophy.
As always, the Show and Shine paddock was busy with visitors running the rule over the 20 pristine cars and sponsors Auto Finesse had a tough job deciding the winner, but eventually they gave the crown to Keith Brownsell and his stunning blue classic Mini that was beautifully maintained and restored – a worthy winner!
It wasn’t just about observing though, with hundreds of visitors making the most of the opportunities to grace the hallowed Silverstone tarmac in their own vehicle.
The track was constantly busy with show-goers taking on the twists and turns of one of the world’s most famous circuits while other decided that they had a need for speed and took on the TurboSmart sprint test instead.
TRAX wouldn’t be TRAX without some smoke and the incredible team from the British Drift Championship provided that with three tyre-shredding, rubber-burning demo’s that had the crowd in raptures. It was pretty special and they earned the standing ovation they received from the crowd.
The VIBE Audio Village was a big hit with visitors checking out the latest audio tech, while the retail village was packed full of people looking for that last bit of trim for their car and the magazine paddocks gave fans a chance to have a chat with the editor of their favourite magazine and feast their eyes on some brilliant feature cars.
Finally, one lucky visitor had a VERY good Sunday after walking, or driving, away with the Fast Car/Banzai Nissan 350Z after entering the Win A Car competition for just £3. . A two-seater coupe designed for only the most hairy-chested grown-up, the 350Z has no turbos, no rotary trickery, just one huge 300bhp, 3.5-litre V6 up front and a driver grinning from ear to ear.
It was another mega day and raised the bar again for TRAX, so keep your eyes peeled for 2019 dates when the team look to make the show even bigger and even better!
