The Performance Vauxhall Show is back at the legendary Santa Pod Raceway next weekend for another year of Griffin action! There’s an awesome line up of Vauxhall action so read on the top 10 reasons you need to be at Santa Pod on June 24th…
1. PV Show Club Car Displays
Last year we saw over 1,600 cars pack into every available inch of Santa Pod Raceway and this year won’t be any different! Make sure you save plenty of time to wander round the massive and diverse range of Vauxhall car clubs on display. Expect to find everything from powerful VXR’s and VX220’s; to retro Astra’s, Nova’s and Cavalier’s. Everything Griffin related will be on display, there is something for every Vauxhall fan!
2. Run What Ya Brung
The legendary Santa Pod 1/4 mile strip is an integral part of PV Show and for just £20 for four runs you can be on it! Test your cars performance and prove just how fast you can power up the strip with a print of your time to show your mates included! New for 2018 is the newly re-surfaced Santa Pod strip – expect your run times to tumble!
3. The Z20LET Lover & PVS Racewars Shoot Out
20 cars have entered to battle it out to be crowned the winner. Competitors will be going head to head setting their fastest times on the handling course arena, then fastest time on the strip – these will be combined to find the Z20LET Lovers and PVS Champion! 4. Show & Shine Competition
The Show & Shine will feature the top 20 entries as selected from the PV Show website that are competing to take home a trophy! Who will be awarded the trophy and crowned as the 2015 Show and Shine Winner? Head over to the Show and Shine display area at 13:00 to find out!
5. Performance Vauxhall Magazine Stand
The stand will have some of the very best cars from the Vauxhall scene on display plus the latest feature cars from the magazine! The merchandise stand will be present as ever, giving you the chance to take home a t-shirt, and even a back issue or two.
6. Corsa VS Nova
Two of Vauxhall’s best-loved models will be facing off on the Santa Pod Strip in the Corsa VS Nova Strip Battle! The model with the quickest lap time over the hour will victorious! Make sure you’re in the stands from 12 noon to cheer on your chosen model!
7. Best Club Stand Award
The PVS Team has the almost impossible task of choosing their winner for the ‘Best Club Stand’ and new for 2018 ‘Best Regional Club’ and ‘Best One Make Club’. Why not see which club gets your vote as you wander around on the day?
8. Anniversary Displays
There’s not just one celebration stand at Performance Vauxhall Show – but three! They’ll be birthday celebrations for the Nova turning 35, Vectra turning 20 and the Corsa turning 25! To celebrate they’ll be a display of outstanding examples of these models. Make sure you check it out!
9. Camping & Evening Entertainment
Stay over the Saturday before the show and enjoy a full day of extra entertainment! Vauxhall-only RWYB will be starting from 17:30, The Santa Pod funfair will be also open all afternoon and evening on the Saturday for the kids (and big kids!) and the Fuelers bar will be open from 20:00 until late with a DJ playing.
10. Tyre Challenge
The challenge is simple – change two wheels on the car in the quickest possible time to walk away as champion!
