We brought you the epic iOBD2 system earlier in the year but the big news is they’ve now added specific VAG and BMW apps to their range of software.
The premise is the same – the hardware box plugs directly into your car’s diagnostic port and, via Bluetooth or wi-fi, transmits fault codes and real-time data to your smartphone or tablet. Think of it like a main-dealer diagnostic machine that fits in your ashtray.
The new apps cover all BMW and VAG vehicles from 1998, can be used to reset service and engine warning lights, and there’s even a selection of super-cool ‘My Dashbord’ options which feature a load of gauges including boost, acceleration, speed, coolant temp and a whole load more.
