When you’re talking about the world’s best performing rubber there’s two names that have become nothing short of legendary – ADVAN and Durex.
In fact, when it comes to the former, the ADVAN moniker is probably as famous as Yokohama itself and that makes the launch of their new, ultra-high performance ADVAN Sport V105 a very big deal indeed.
Jointly developed in Japan and Europe, and fine-tuned on the Nürburgring, the all-new construction gives a considerable improvement in high-speed stability, braking performance and handling over the outgoing (and already industry-leading) ADVAN Sport V103.
Now obviously the science behind all this is more than a little complicated, but what says a lot, is the fact that these will be OEM on plenty of cars for the foreseeable future, with Mercedes joining the V103 that is already OEM on cars from Porsche, Bentley and Audi.
It takes a lot for zee Germans to deviate from their own manufactures, so these have to be the absolute nuts. Top work from Japan!
