Counting Cars – Thursday 9pm on HISTORY
Counting Cars sees Danny and his team at Count’s Kustoms buy, remodel and sell all sorts of jaw-dropping vehicles, fighting to keep their Las Vegas shop in profit.
From vintage Thunderbirds to classic Corvettes, toy cars to souped-up sidecar motorcycles, Danny and his crew will stop at nothing to find and flip the greatest rides of all time.
Danny is a passionate petrolhead and walks, talks and breathes American muscle cars. When he sets eyes on a car he wants, he will do whatever it takes to make it his own – including chasing after cars and making on-the-spot cash offers to unsuspecting owners.
Some surprise famous faces pop up as Danny’s team are commissioned by Barry White’s estate to find and restore the legendary singer’s Stutz IV Porte.
Later, Danny and Kevin push the limit to acquire a `71 Monte Carlo, and then have a tough decision to make when a heart-broken customer can’t pay up and the shop gets a visit from legendary Mistress of the Dark, Elvira, whose famous Thunderbird is in need of some mechanical magic.
Whilst Rick Harrison gives the guys of Count’s Kustoms the project of a lifetime – turning a beaten up 68 Mustang Fastback into Steve McQueen’s old “Bullitt” ride.
It’s not just a passion for Danny; it’s a high-stakes business. With the help of his talented team, Danny must restore, modify, customise and sell these highway gems in a hurry. When he sees a ride he wants – whether it’s on display at an auto auction or parked at a roadside diner – he will stop at nothing to get it.
Counting Cars looks at the history of the car as well as some incredible before and after transformations and premieres with a double on Thursday 21st February at 9pm, exclusively on HISTORY.
